I'm going to take a few minutes and sit down to write what may be the last entry for our January through April, 2013 trip. IT HAS BEEN WONDERFUL!
The weather back home is still questionable, but enough of this life, we must start our journey for Saskatoon. Collin tells us there will be no place for us to park because of the ruts on the streets (Steven got his Jeep stuck a few times) around home. He has advised us that he and his brother have cleared and clearly marked a lovely spot for us to stay in at the Walmart resort down the street, and, will allow us to come for a short visit every few days. Wow! Aren't they thoughtful?
We had looked at maps and planned our route home on the 3rd of April, leaving here on Wednesday, April 10th. Then I went to my paper craft class and discovered the class on the 10th was all day, and when I saw what we were doing we decided to leave the 11th instead. Well, on Monday the 7th the wind started, with gusts up to 60 miles an hour and travel advisories, and it really hasn't let up, we keep postponing......, but it's time! Because of our departure date change we went back to the maps and have made a few changes in "the route". The only planned stop now on our way home will be in Jamestown, North Dakota for a few days to visit with friends we have made while they were here in Brenda for a month holiday in February.
Today we are puttsing and packing, getting the last of the laundry done, and saying good-bye to the friends we've met here, and, of course, exchanging addresses. We will load up the car tomorrow morning, pay our last electric bill, and start our drive home. The boys don't want us home too soon, they feel we might upset their routine, but we plan on knocking on the door on the 22nd or 23rd, consider this your warning guys, if you start cleaning now.....
