Well it's now a new year, 2013! We hope everyone had a great Christmas and may this new year be wonderful for all of us!
Our trip home for Christmas was uneventful, with the exception of one wrong turn taking us through West Yellowstone, but the roads were fine and it was sure pretty! We had a wonderful Christmas with lots of turkey, family and friends and were back on the road Monday, January 7th. The trip back down was good, except for the ice fog that started at the Montana/Idaho border until we parked for the night in Blackfoot Idaho. After a quick stop for groceries in Parker, AZ, we arrived at our new winter home, Desert Gold RV Park in Brenda AZ on Thursday, the 10th of January, got the motorhome out of storage and onto our site by 4:30 that afternoon.
We've only been here a week and it's been pretty cold here so far, so we're not doing a whole lot, haven't been able to get the Internet set up yet, so there are lots of walks over to the library. Monday afternoon I went to beading class, Wednesday evening was a Bluegrass concert with Monroe Crossing. Awesome show, I do like Bluegrass! Thursday the weather started to warm up a bit, just in time for the craft sale here in the park, then we did a quick trip into Quartszite for some supplies for my beading class this Monday. Today a trip into Blythe California, laundry, and a quiet evening sitting outside, as the weather is finally warming up! Next week I'll be able to start up all the craft classes I've been missing out on, and hopefully Larry will have the internet hooked up, can't wait!
